A dynamic performer and often referred to as the ‘king of strings’, Ustad Tanveer Hussain – has mastered the art of playing the sarodh, mandolin, rubab, and acoustic and electric guitars. Son of renowned tabla maestro Altaf Tafu, the rhythms, the grooves and the beautiful sounds produced by one of the many stringed instruments that he plays captures the audience instantly.

Born in Lahore, he received his formal training in music from the eminent Ustaad Tafu and over the years, has collaborated and performed with many renowned artists of Pakistan.

Ustad Tanveer Hussain will return once again this year to Coke Studio, Season 9, with his meticulously crafted rhythms that’ll stay with you long after the song is over.
